Questions
Do I need a permit for electrical work?
Yes. The City of Calgary asks for a separate electrical permit for all electrical installations and renovations. If you hire someone, they apply for it.
Can I do my own wiring?
Only with a homeowner permit: you own the home, live in it and do the work yourself, and it is not a rental (City of Calgary).
